“This collection of poems is well-organized with connected themes and the repetition of key phrases and adjectives, which guides the reader through. I enjoyed the varying length of the poems and felt the order was well-formed for the chapbook. The standout poem is ‘Because (II) ’ with its interesting format and specific, concrete details, such as ‘of (accidental) sugar-free cookies,’ ‘of birthday pizza and bowling - you hate bowling,’ and ‘of glitter beards and rainbow flags.’ There are many moments in this collection to remind readers that we are all individuals with individual experiences.”
